Wordfeud Solver
Wordfeud scoring, blanks, and board anchors
This Wordfeud solver uses Wordfeud English tile values for baseline scoring and treats ? blank tiles as 0 points. Letters supplied through the Pattern, Prefix, and Suffix fields act as board anchors, so they count toward the final word but do not consume letters from your rack.
The score shown here is the pure letter total. Board bonus squares such as DL, TL, DW, and TW are not applied, which makes it easier to compare candidate plays before you place them on the board.
How to use this Wordfeud solver
- Enter your rack and use
?for each blank tile. - Add a pattern when you already know fixed letters on the board lane.
- Use prefix or suffix to lock in hooks at the start or end of the word.
- Refine with include or exclude filters when you need a specific letter or want to avoid weak branches.
- Sort by score, length, frequency, or A-Z depending on whether you want the strongest play or the easiest options to scan.
Pattern examples
Use ., _, or ? as single-letter wildcards. Character groups
such as [ae] and [^rst] let you target or avoid specific letters.
..ingfinds five-letter words ending ining.[st]onematches words that start withsortbeforeone.re..edhelps when the board already gives youreat the front andedat the end..[aeiou]tnarrows the middle letter to a vowel for short hooks.
Why frequency and length still matter
Sorting by WF score surfaces the highest letter totals first. Sorting by Length helps when you are trying to stretch through a lane, while Frequency pushes more common words to the top so you can spot practical plays faster.
When you get no results
- Remove one filter first (usually Pattern or Exclude) and rerun.
- Check that board letters are in Pattern/Prefix/Suffix, not in rack by mistake.
- Switch dictionary to All Dictionaries to test whether the word list is the blocker.
- Use one
?for each blank tile and avoid extra spaces or symbols in rack input.
